Summary

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $2000 sign on bonus for
Patient Service Representatives (PSRs):

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time PSR position.
    Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible;
    former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

This is a 40 hour per week position.

Pediatric Care | MaineHealth is searching for a Patient Service Representative. The Patient Service Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients when they enter our Pediatrics office. They greet and check-in patients, get patient information, collect payments, assist with necessary paperwork, and fulfill other customer service or administrative duties. We are looking for candidates with strong communication and administrative skills, a positive attitude, and a proven track record of reliability to support this busy and growing practice and contribute to the team.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

    1. Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
    2. License/Certifications: N/A
    3. Experience: Six months to one year medical office related experience and/or training preferred.
    4. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
    5. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers. Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume and distance.
    6. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
