Job Description

Summary

  • **This position will require occasional travel to support practices across the entire MaineHealth Medical Group footprint**

    Manages, supports, and executes MaineHealth Medical Group system and departmental operational projects and initiatives in partnership with senior and local leadership. Manages communications with key stakeholders and presentations to MaineHealth Medical Group Senior Leadership team and relevant committees. Serves as a subject-matter expert resource and provides operational analysis and consultation services for all aspects of ambulatory practice operations. Develops and implements recommendations for operational improvements and workflow design/redesign as identified in the operational analysis. Provides on-site support and customized coaching for physicians, front line leaders and care team members. Serves as a liaison between frontline care team members and leadership, and the MaineHealth Medical Group Senior Leaders, central teams, and outside vendors.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • License/Certifications: Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher within 1 year of hire.
    • Experience: Three years of progressive and relevant experience in a multi-specialty group practice environment.
    • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives.
    • Knowledge of physician practice systems and operations.
    • Knowledge of healthcare administration systems, governmental regulation and compliance requirements.
    • Knowledge of computer systems and applications including Epic Ambulatory Electronic Medical Record and Practice Management Systems, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Skills in organizing, planning and leadership.
    • Skills in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving and decision-making.
    • Skills in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients and the public.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbal and written.
    • Travel required to all MaineHealth regions.
