Job Description
Provide operational support to project teams consistent with Cianbro's Standard Operating Procedures and processes to drive continuous operational and project performance improvement.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Communicate expectations of the project team for safety, role responsibility, production, quality standards and schedule.
  • Work with the project teams to help them understand Cianbro's obligations, critical dates, contract terms, risks, opportunities, payment procedures, the notification process for changes & unforeseen conditions.
  • Ability to work with the team in a supplemental role to aid in the management of the project.
  • Participate in the development of the Project Management Plan (PMP) and Readiness Review (Kickoff) and participate in the mid project reviews as needed.
  • Ensure that the project team understands and maintains proper document control practices consistent with Cianbro's SOP.
  • Understand client's software requirements, if different from our own, and how to best satisfy contract requirements while maintaining Cianbro requirements.
  • Assist the project management team on how to interpret the budget information to develop complete work packages and provide production goals, scope definition, and schedule requirements to front-line supervisors for Daily Activity Plans.
  • Assist the project team in developing the project budget with measurable quantities.
  • Assist the project team in understanding how to forecast costs and update cost forecasts using Cianbro's project management software with input from the project team.
  • Coordinate with Market Business Managers and project teams to align efforts and provide consistency across projects and markets.
  • Make certain the project team understands how to prepare, develop, analyze, and progress the project schedule with input from the project team using Primavera P6.
  • Work as a liaison between the project team and the QA/QC department to ensure that project deliverables are in compliance with Cianbro's quality program.
  • Perform regular audits with the project team to ensure alignment with Cianbro SOP and standard processes. Identify shortcomings and assist the project team in the development of action plans.
  • Assist in developing/maintaining standard operating procedures and educational resources.
  • Providing technical assistance to project teams and field personnel as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance or closely related degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in Project Controls or Project Management.
  • Experience setting up and managing project Schedules within Primavera P6.
  • Project Controls experience on engineering and construction projects.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of principles and concepts of cost engineering as they relate to budgeting, monitoring, and tracking actual costs, change orders and forecasting.
  • Understanding of Earned Value concepts and how to apply them.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Ability to fill a variety of project roles as needed to support project teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at a time.
  • Ability to travel to support project teams.
